Zach Weisberg

Zach Weisberg is the Founder of The Inertia. He started The Inertia in 2010 to build a platform that celebrates the rich diversity of perspectives in surf and outdoor culture.

A former editor at SURFER Magazine, Weisberg’s work has been featured in The New York Times, Esquire, Forbes, Nylon, The Surfer’s Journal, O, The Oprah Magazine, Duke Magazine, The Huffington Post, and many other publications.

Weisberg completed his MBA at USC Marshall School of Business and worked in brand management at Nike before diving headfirst into building The Inertia, where he has worn many hats – securing partnerships with 300+ brands, building traffic to nearly 20M readers annually, producing hundreds of short films, launching gatherings like EVOLVE: Celebrating Good Vibes in Surf and Outdoors, and Inspire Courses, an online educational platform. The Inertia was acquired in 2022 by AllGear Digital, which owns and operates GearJunkie, Switchback Travel, and several other premium outdoor media brands.
