Caroline Power captured these powerful images recently of a large garbage patch in the Caribbean. Power has created a career out of fighting plastic pollution in our oceans. She got underneath, over and around this disgusting patch of trash between the islands of Roatan and Cayos Cochinos off the coast of Honduras to photograph it. The blob is made up of plastic bottles and baggies, styrofoam, and other plastics. Officials think the trash is coming from a river in Guatemala. Power lives on the island of Roatan.
