Conner Rhoads is an urchin diver and fisherman, whose way of life and relationship to the ocean has been passed down from generation to generation. His father was an urchin diver and fisherman too, and instilled his love of the ocean in Conner. But Conner may not be able to do the same for his son, as disappearing kelp forests along the California coastline mean a decline in sea urchin populations as well.
