Some surf destinations have become clichés. From boat trips in Indo to holiday trips to Hawaii or Central America – the list goes on. I’ll spare you. The reason we make expeditions in the first place is to escape from what’s familiar, from what we already know. To go somewhere new and score great waves while doing it. These seven places combine those variables to the max and are also difficult places to live, travel and/or surf. Going to these destinations means you will probably score the wave of your life, but getting there, and surviving there, will be a story unto itself.
