Winter Storm Hercules pounded the United States and Canada with record-setting low temperatures, brutal winds and all around chaos. As it continued on its violent swath east across the Atlantic, it ran into Europe, where it whipped the ocean into a violent frenzy. These are a few images from a few places that got in the way.
