Freestyle Snowboarder Jeremy Jones Breaks Both Legs after Serious Accident in Utah Backcountry

He had to be air-lifted to a Salt Lake City hospital where he underwent surgery.

My friend @jeremy___jones was caught in an avalanche recently. An extremely scary incident but fortunately he made it out alive. Unfortunately he broke both legs and now has some major medical expenses to cover. If you have the ability to help… please do. Link in bio.

Last week, legendary freestyle snowboarder Jeremy Jones suffered a serious injury in the Utah backcountry. He apparently broke bones in both of his legs and had to be flown via helicopter to a Salt Lake City hospital where he underwent emergency surgery.

Information on the accident is sparse (foggy details on whether it was an avalanche or some other accident have reverberated throughout the industry) but fortunately, rescuers were able to get him to help relatively quickly. Jones is often confused with big mountain rider Jeremy Jones. This Jones, whose riding embodies creativity, has had a vast influence on snowboarders throughout the sport. He’s often credited with “revolutionizing the urban jib scene.”

A Gofundme page has been created for Jones to help offset his mounting medical expenses.
