How Not to Ski The Backcountry: Two Skiers Lose it On a Steep, Icy Slope

Okay, if you’re going to ski or snowboard steep snow in the spring, best to wait until at least mid-day so the snow has time to melt into soft corn so you can safely negotiate slopes. These two guys didn’t do that. And they both lost it in some really dangerous terrain, without helmets. The first skier tumbles into the unknown (and actually has to be airlifted out) while the second tries to recover his gear before losing it himself. Pretty scary.
