Every once in a while, a snowboarder comes along that kind of dumps the sport on its head and helps people reimagine what the pursuit is all about. Or better yet, reminds us that it’s about being creative, no matter what you do with it. Zeb Powell seems to be that guy, right now. He’s not exactly a contest rider, but he’s just so imaginative in everything he does whether it’s on the ground or in the air. Some of his spins are standard, sure, but a lot of them have this off-axis, against-the-grain look unlike anything we’ve seen before. Need proof? Check out this clip just released by his sponsors.
