Whitewater kayaking is a noble pursuit, albeit often very lonely (but that’s probably the point). Its practitioners regularly drop into isolated canyons where there’s little escape, other than on the water in front of them. And sometimes, wild animals experience that same isolation. If this young deer hadn’t been lucky enough to encounter several wilderness-seeking kayakers then, well, things might have turned out differently for it. Fabrizio “Gass” Capizzo makes the heartfelt rescue on a section of the Candigliano River in Central Italy, according to the video description.
