Julien Fillion has actually been changing the paradigm for a while now, kicking out kite vids from the Saint Lawrence River in Montreal for years. But it seems he’s constantly tweaking and we’re not sure if it’s tweaks to his equipment or his camera angle, but he’s making big river waves look progressively more fun. Aside from a few shaky moments with the lens perched high above near the kite, this gives one the feel of high water chaos. The surfing is a good time but the washing machine of a rapid after the fall is real.
