Luis Medearis has an interesting story. He grew up in Compton, California. He played college basketball at William Jessup University near Sacramento where he was an All-American. Basketball is of course a winter sport. So not much time for riding pow. But Luis took the leap, learned with a friend, and simultaneously decided film was where he wanted to put his efforts. The man has become incredible at both in a short time, going from playing college hoops to filming high-level snowboarding.
