Luis Medearis Went From Playing College Basketball to Filming Snowboarding

Luis Medearis has an interesting story. He grew up in Compton, California. He played college basketball at William Jessup University near Sacramento where he was an All-American. Basketball is of course a winter sport. So not much time for riding pow. But Luis took the leap, learned with a friend, and simultaneously decided film was where he wanted to put his efforts. The man has become incredible at both in a short time, going from playing college hoops to filming high-level snowboarding. This is his story, as filmed by Sam Moody in a series called Pack Heavy, Chase Light.
