This July, in the midst of a huge South American winter, Swedish freeskier Matilda Rapaport was killed after she was buried in an avalanche filming during a commercial shoot in Chile. But during the last North American winter, she took this trip with Henrik Windstedt, Dave Treadway and Whiteout Pictures to film in the wilds of British Columbia. Her skiing stands out: flow, style, grace. Her death was a heartbreaking loss in the freeskiing world and has definitely taken away from the sport’s aesthetic (she was beautiful to watch). This is one of her final edits.
