If you played hockey growing up and didn’t have time to actually learn to ski, or if you just never had a chance to hit the slopes as a kid in general, or if you just want to try something new that’s not quite as lame as snow blades, these are snow skates. They’re made by a company out of Norway called Sled Dogs and are basically a ski boot with a planing surface on the bottom that can be controlled like ice skates–or skis. We’re not sure this is going to take off. But you never know. And now you know.
