Security Footage Shows Avalanche Ripping Through Home Near California’s Kirkwood Resort

Well, that’s probably not what the owners of this home intended their security cameras to be used for. But nonetheless, cameras in this house in the East Meadows subdivision in Kirkwood, Calif. recently caught on tape an avalanche blasting through the kitchen wall and into the living room. The footage was posted on the Alpine County Sheriffs Office Facebook page. “This home..suffered damage in a natural occurring avalanche. No one was inside at the time. This is below Red Cliffs,” reads the post. California storms this year have truly been unprecedented with more on the way.
