During a training run in New Zeland, Olympic champion Shaun White wrecked and took a birthday trip to the hospital. According to his Instagram account, the now 31-year-old under rotated a double flip (no word whether it was a front or back) and landed horribly wrong.

“The biggest scare was seeing blood in my urine but after the tests all came back looking good I was released to go home,” he said.

White hasn’t suffered too many injuries in his career. But he is looking to regain his form after a rough go at the 2014 Olympic Games in Sochi. He did win the Burton U.S. Open last winter and looked strong late in the 2016-2017 season. “Nothing is broken but the doctors advised me to take a few weeks off,” said White in a press release. “I’m heading home to rest and prepare for more snowboarding next month.”
