Josh Dirksen is a certifiable legend in the snowboarding world. And not just because he’s a snowboarder. He’s had a tremendous amount of influence in the community as a person, too. Nowhere is that influence more apparent than with an event he’s run for years at Mt. Bachelor–The Dirksen Derby–which was started in honor of one of Dirksen’s good friends who was paralyzed. Here, Dirksen talks about the Derby, his own career and the influence his home mountain has had on his riding.
