Russian ski resorts have had quite the week. After a ski resort in Sochi was covered in red dust, Mount Elbrus, Russia expereinced this crushing avalanche that covered its parking lot and destroyed cars and buildings in the process. Avalanches don’t need to move fast to wreak havoc. This wet snow probably weighs thousands of pounds and can create plenty of carnage.
