Imagine, for a second, that you’re sitting peacefully on the chairlift, looking down at your next possible line. The air is brisk, the sky is blue, and the snow is so wonderfully white it hurts your eyes. Your nose is cold, and the snow covering everything beneath you muffles the sounds of people hooting their way down the hill. Now imagine you look up briefly and see a pair of wingsuiters flying an almost unimaginable speed just feet away from the lift you’re sitting on.
That was the scene for lift riders at La Clusaz ski resort when Fred Fugen and Vince Reffet gave them a quick fly by—and by quick, we mean very f*cking fast.
