Of the long list of boneheaded things President-elect Donald Trump has vowed to do, one of the most immediate may be backing the United States out of the 2015 Paris agreement. That pact, to which 200 nations have agreed, is a four-year plan to slow global greenhouse gas emissions that went into effect a few days before the election.

With Trump just weeks from taking office, outdoor athletes are getting vocal about sticking to the agreement, blasting social media with the hashtag #KeepParis. Yesterday morning, Protect Our Winters, an advocacy group founded by snowboarder Jeremy Jones, instigated a “24-hour Twitter blizzard.” And snow it did.

Skiers, snowboarders, climbers and many other environmentally-minded folk took to the Twittersphere and other social media to join the campaign, whose slogan is “Hey Trump: Make America Deep Again.”

On POW’s website, the group says, “If we sit on our hands for the next two decades, we won’t be worried about powder days, tourism or having fun. We’ll be worried about the stability of our environment, our jobs and our economy.”

Here’s a sampling of the social media storm #KeepParis wrought, featuring the likes of Jeremy Jones, Cody Townsend, Angel Collinson, Caroline Gleich, Danny Davis, and climbers Emily Harrington and Beth Rodden:

Do you love snow and ice? Are you on Twitter? If so, join me on a 24-hour Tweetathon starting today asking @realdonaldtrump to uphold the commitment we made in Paris. The @goodeggs fundraiser for @protectourwinters continues! I love showing this guy some of my favorite places, like the high country of Yosemite. I also know that we all have to work hard to protect them and our environment. This month I'm teaming up with @goodeggs to raise money for @protectourwinters !!! Every climber I know wants to do something to make a difference. Buying food grown and raised in a sustainable way ensures that my money goes to good stewards of the land. If you live in the Bay Area and want amazing groceries delivered to your door, use the code CLIMBON on your order and 10% of proceeds goes to @protectourwinters !!! #goodeggseats #votewithyourdollar #eatgoodclimbgood #keepparis #tuolumne
