They may be really small but they’re still waves, breaking and forming in all the shapes the sea can provide.
The morning colors combined with the sea's texture can create some amazing views. Photo: Luiz Blanco

I love the contrast in this one. I took it in the afternoon, which is not so common for me. Photo: Luiz Blanco

Another one with a zooming effect. It's nice how you can see all the water moving in this one. Photo: Luiz Blanco

They are almost too small to see but still very beautiful. Photo: Luiz Blanco
A windy day creates this texture on the wave. I've never been able to repeat a photo like this since. Photo: Luiz Blanco
I think this is the only one not shot as a speed blur. This was a totally ordinary day but these small beauties were breaking right on the shore. Photo: Luiz Blanco
These are waves I’ve been chasing for some time now. Actually, most of them aren’t surfable waves and to tell the truth, most of them weren’t even noticed along the beach.
They may be really small but they’re still waves, breaking and forming in all the shapes the sea can provide. And in this micro-universe, lights, reflections and all the details from the water just become more apparent. I prefer to use low shutter speeds for this kind of photo just to let the water blur a little bit. And with the low light of the morning, it is almost impossible not to slow down the camera anyway. I will never stop taking this style of photo because the possibilities are endless. Every time I go to the beach for them I get a surprise.
