I took this at Malibu about 4 or 5 years ago. I looked at the shots and was pretty disappointed about how they came out. I ended up sending one of them to the Surfers Journal, and Jeff Divine immediately emailed me back asking for a high resolution version. It ended up being the cover shot. I couldn't believe it. Every month, we get the most incredible photos sent to us. Photographers from around the globe pack their carefully woven images in an email bubble-wrap, hit send, and we get the pleasure of showcasing them on your screens. And it is a pleasure. Filtering through a plethora of beauty every day is a great way to spend an hour. We pass the photos around our little office, choosing favorites and looking for more.
The photos above are just a small selection of a few of our favorites from the month of August. We recently started a series called #LogDaze, and the submissions we’ve received have been far better than we could have hoped for–and as a result, this month, we’re heavy on the logging.
We can’t wait to see what September brings. And as always, a heartfelt thank you goes out to all of our contributors.
