Mahina Maeda’s got guts. The 16-year-old surfer out of Haleiwa, Hawaii was towed into this bomb by the King of Nazare himself, Garrett McNamara. Despite the fact that conditions were far from perfect, Maeda showed no hesitation dropping into this closeout, and her effort earned her a Billabong XXL Ride of the Year Entry.
