A Collection From Patrick “Tupat” Eichstaedt

I cut my teeth in the surf game years ago by sitting on the beach for hours video taping a young Andy Irons and Cory Lopez charge Log Cabins. Family, health, and friends are most important to me, and my school was traveling and listening to others: The School of Trial and Error.

This was one of the most perfect days I have ever witnessed at The Banzai Pipeline. Waves were stacking so deep and the horizon was nowhere in sight. As I was focusing through my lens watching Kainoa paddling viciously to get into the wave, the beach was hooting and hollering with excitement. As he got to his feet the wave jacked onto to the reef and never let him him. There's just something about him standing looking out the back that draws me in to this shot. Photo: Patrick Eichstaedt

I was born in Miami, Florida, in 1974 and moved to New Smyrna Beach in 1976. I began working with …Lost and through opportunities there, I have imagery published all over the globe. Family, health and friends are most important to me, and my school was traveling and listening to others–The School of Trial and Error.
