These five photos I chose are probably my favorite spots to shoot in and out of the water and I hope they spark the will to visit Portugal.
Nazaré, Praia do Norte - Nothing like sea level to put things in perspective and understand the true power of Nazare. Photo: Hélio António
Nazaré, Praia do Sul - Not a very consistent spot, but when it's on you gotta be there. Photo: Hélio António
Supertubos - No wonder why the best surfers in the world want to compete here. Supertubos is one the most perfect beachbreaks in the planet.

Cave, Ericeira - My favorite wave to shoot. Cave is as much beautiful as it is dangerous. Definitly not for the faint of heart. Photo: Hélio António
Secret - This slab doesn't have much clientele. It's big, heavy, and extremely dificult to surf. For me it's an adrenaline machine.

Growing up so close to the beach definitely ignited my passion for waves and salt water. I truly believe a perfect wave is nature’s most beautiful form. Nowadays, I shoot mostly at Nazaré and the central coastal of Portugal, but my biggest passion is to travel and shoot different spots and landscapes. These five photos I chose are probably my favorite spots to shoot in and out of the water and I hope they spark the will to visit Portugal and, of course, my hometown Nazaré.
