Portugal is a great place to be in the late season. And while waves break year round, the cream of the crop is Supertubos. In the beginning of April, right after the end of the season in Morocco, I headed straight to Peniche for some late season magic at this European dreamland. Shortly after, I took a gamble by going to Carcavelos, located near Lisbon, to see what I could find. To my surprise, a perfect European swell arrived in the region, providing a few days of offshore winds, perfect little barrels, and, of course, stunning seaside castles.
