It wasn’t supposed to be this heavy. The swell that rolled into Los Angeles was expected to have decent size but nothing like this. Yeah, it was mostly closed out but a few absolute gems came through and the wipe outs were really entertaining as well. Huge, heavy barrels slammed into the area for a few hours taking most of us by surprise. We saw a swell coming but nothing like this. It brought a few amazing moments. Kei Kobayashi and Colin Weinberg snagged the best waves of the morning.
