The Jet Ski changed surfing. The Strapped Crew began using personal water crafts to surf waves bigger than anyone thought possible, and since then tow surfing has evolved to the point we see it today. Unfortunately, it hasn’t evolved to the point where the Jet Ski can be used without pilot. And during a run of massive swell at Half Moon Bay (Peter Mel’s been on a serious run, by the way), a runaway PWC just about took a few people out of the lineup. It’s a good reminder that the kill switch should always be attached to YOU, not just your lifejacket.
