Albee Layer is no stranger to big waves. Unfortunately, part and parcel of surfing big waves is big wipeouts, and he’s had his fair share of those. A pounding at Puerto is unlike any other, though–when it’s big, the impact zone there is an ever-shifting, swirling place you really, really don’t want to be.
