Despite being one of the most sought-after surfers in the world, John’s not exactly one to drop mindless edits day-after-day. Which, of course, only lends to the excitement when he does.
John, along with Nathan, Ivan, and his mom, has been going to Indonesia since he was very young. The wave-rich country has a special place in his heart, so he recently released the 12-minute homage you see above. It follows him on a trip for the 2019 Bali Pro (where he was eliminated in 17th place by Joan Duru), but the contest isn’t what sticks out: what shines is just how happy the world champion is in Indonesia.
