After waking up every morning at 5:00 and walking to the boat or car, we always managed to find perfect waves. We stayed with Witches Rock Surf Camp for a week and a half and caught some of the best swell Costa Rica has had in a year.
When we jumped in the water on the first day, it was 90 degrees and the water was as warm as a bathtub. Before I jumped in the water, I shot a few lineup shots then headed into the firing beach break. There were only five guys out and they were all trading off perfect waves and head-high tubes. After shooting for about two hours, I was still stoked out of my mind so I swam in and grabbed my surfboard. This is how it all went down.
