Eli Olson is one of those guys who, although well-known, should be more well-known. He’s got everything: an enviable small wave game, tube sense like the best of the best, and the guy just loves surfing big waves. He’s good on camera. He’s handsome. He’s a freaking black belt, for God’s sake.
There’s a bunch going on in the video from Olson that you see above, but most notable is perhaps the airdrop at an (unnamed) outer reef. “I ended up having a crazy airdrop,” he says. “It was one of my sketchier airdrops I’ve ever had in my life on a big board. I was super stoked that I made it and didn’t tomahawk down the face because we were really far out and didn’t have too much water safety. It was just kind of me and the boys.”
