The Eddie is surfing’s pinnacle. It’s something that every big wave surfer dreams of – a representation of the life of Eddie Aikau and the chance to honor the camaraderie that exists within a realm of surfing that only the tiniest fraction of surfers will ever experience. An invite means much more than a shot at a trophy. It is, according to many of the surfers in the inner circle, the biggest honor that can be bestowed on anyone who chases monsters.
