The first swell of the year arrived at the Mexican Pipeline earlier this month, and as a preview of what’s to come, it was pumping without many surfers in the water. Perhaps it was bit early on in the year to bet on Puerto, but the locals didn’t mind. They took full advantage of this early season gift.
