The Florence brothers are definitely far better at surfing than 99.9 percent of the rest of the world. Show them a wave that most people would run from and they will run towards it, grinning from ear to ear, hearts all a-flutter, safe in the knowledge that they have what it takes. One such wave is the Box, that slabby chunk of a wave across the bay from Margaret River. It’s the kind of wave that, when the Margs event is running, everyone hopes to see. It’s the kind of wave that will more than likely either give your the ride of your life or the beatdown. Short and sweet or short and extremely sour. It’s a very Australian wave, if you think about it. As the old saying goes, “everything in Australia wants to kill you.” It’s perfect for the Florence brothers, as evidenced by the video above.

The Florence brothers are definitely far better at surfing ridiculously difficult waves than 99.9 percent of the rest of the world. One such wave is the Box.
