Waimea Bay is almost exclusively known as a right, but there are a few people who have a sort of “if you can see it, you can surf it” mentality. Mark Healey is one of those people. And while by his own admission the ratio of makes to failures going left at Waimea isn’t exactly high, “the people are more dangerous than the waves.”
