Here’s the WSL’s Recap of the 2017 ‘Future Classic’ Event at Kelly Slater’s Wave Pool

So this looked pretty all-time. The “Future Classic,” as it was dubbed, got an unreal amount of media attention in the surf world and beyond. And every one of those media outlets, including this one, was seemingly pouty they weren’t invited. And for good reason. Check out the show we all missed. Gabriel Medina and Carissa Moore, two modern stars, took out the Future Classic in perpetually-consistent, head-high barelling waves.
