You may not have been aware, but Kelly Slater’s Surf Ranch was recently closed for maintenance for a few months. After blowing up the internet numerous times and causing more fights among surfers than Trump among… well, everyone, it was decided by the powers-that-be that the man made perfect wave could be uh, more perfect.
They closed the gates, drained the pool, did some engineering stuff, then filled it up again and fired up the wave train. Now, after a bunch of pro athletes got to try their hand, a few pro surfers are getting into the chlorinated ocean to try the newest iteration. Here’s Griffin Colapinto, who said, “this is the top 5 best waves I’ve ever surfed! I can’t believe this is real life!”
