It's all about your angle to get the light bouncing of your subjects. Here, a surfer checking the waves gives this image a deceiving perspective. Photo: Chris Sardelis
My grandmother raised me since my birth, and it just so happens that she was a hopeless insomniac. I still have vision of her sipping heated milk so she could fall a sleep. It never worked. Living in a one bed room apartment, I was woken on daily basis before dawn when my grandmother prepared for work. I don’t know if its genetics or environment, or maybe I got in a habit that proved productive and never stopped, but well before first light, I too am ready to go. Here are a few samples of my sleepless mornings and the Pacific’s beautiful fall colors. Enjoy.
