Big wave surfers are pretty seasoned visitors of airports. It’s their job to hop on flights at the snap of a finger, so you’d imagine they’ve learned the “dos and dont’s” of getting from Point A to Point B with all their gear intact with as little resistance as possible.
Or you could just be like Nathan Florence and tell a TSA agent every wrong thing in the book.
TSA agent: “Do you have any water in your bag?”
Florence: “No, but I have a vest.”
TSA agent: “What do you mean a vest?”
Florence: “It’s a vest that blows up…”
