The Right is as heavy as it is deep, making it notorious for two-wave hold-downs. That’s about as bad as it gets for surfers, but for resident photographer Russell Ord, there are a few other things to worry about. Like a sitting duck, Russell is at risk of running into Australian-sized great whites as he bobs out there like a buoy. When it comes to this wave, Russell is all too familiar with it and he assures us that eventually someone will paddle into this beast. I only wish I could be there when it happens. Especially, with a front-row seat like Russell will.
