Please Enjoy John John Florence’s 2013 Self-Released Flick, ‘DONE’

You’re gonna want to make the time for this one.

Three years before clinching his first world title, and back when he still flew O’Neill stickers, John John Florence was already the surfer every chop-hopping grom from San Clemente to Coolangatta wanted to emulate. Much of John’s dominant competitive performances would come later, but already two years into his CT residency and having mind-bending parts in countless films, Florence’s explosive approach in the small stuff and tube riding abilities in the big stuff were already well-known.

It wasn’t until John’s first self-released full-length, though, that the surf world collectively swooned over he and creative partner Blake Kueny’s ability to push surf filmmaking to new heights (literally, check the loft at the 35-second mark).

That Done came out some six years ago (which is decades in internet terms) and remains as progressive now as it seemed then is a testament to Florence and crew’s surfing. How about that Tahiti segment?
