Yes, people, it’s true. We regret to inform you John John Florence is out. He sustained a high-ankle sprain after landing awkwardly on an alley-oop while filming on a boat trip with Filipe Toledo off the coast of Brazil. Unfortunately, the injury has forced him to pull out of the contest, which is set to begin June 7th. We’re all wishing JJF a speedy recovery so he can be healthy and ready to compete come July 8th at Jeffrey’s Bay.
