The Pipe Pro is the gift that keeps on giving. First, there was the competition itself, which had a slow start, but eventually delivered with excellent conditions making for a thrilling finals. However, those same conditions also led to fireworks just as spectacular outside of competition, with CT surfers, freesurfers and locals taking full advantage of the waves.
The latest boon comes courtesy of John John Florence. In between contest days, he logged an all-day session at Pipe, where he shared a lineup with Nathan Florence, Italo Ferreira, Eli Olson and Luke Swanson.
With JJF’s break from the world tour officially starting when the Pipe Pro ended (barring any more surprise wildcard entries), the video below is a stark reminder of what the CT will be missing in his absence. On the other hand, we can be sure to get more clips like this, so maybe that’s a good thing.
