Kai Lenny watched with keen eyes at it approached the wave that made him the surfer he is, and when it hit Maui, Kai was ready. But he wasn’t just ready for Jaws — he had a plan. Kai surfed Jaws, then hopped on a flight to California to catch the same swell when it hit Maverick’s.
“We first paddled surf clean Jaws before hopping on a flight to Maverick’s in California to immediately surf the biggest and most unruly Mavericks I’ve seen,” he wrote. “We came home in one piece!”
