Kai Lenny looks at surfing in a different way than most. He’s in the future, basically — ahead of the curve and on the forefront of the next big thing. It helps that he’s obscenely talented, of course, but he’s also got the guts to try new things in a space where new things are often frowned upon. But Kai’s not in it to please a handful of grumpy old guys on standard thrusters and nothing else: Kai’s in it to have as much fun as he possibly can. And that means finding new ways to surf when the waves aren’t good for a traditional surfboard. He does things that seem to defy explanation, but in his latest vlog episode, he attempts to explain a few of those things. Like foil surfing airs, which are basically impossible.
