Kai Lenny does it all. Foiling, towing, shaping – you name it. He’s made a name for himself of pushing the boundaries of how to ride a wave, and there’s no sign of him stopping any time soon. On the other hand, he also can just rip when he needs to.
The latest edit from Lenny shows just that. In it, Kai takes to the waves on an honest to goodness shortboard. It’s a refreshing reminder of the multi-hyphenate waterman’s raw skills on traditional craft (though he can’t help himself from trying a few tricky maneuvers, like switching stances seemingly at-will).
Just to make things a little more interesting, Kai also shares the screen with his brother-in-law Dusty Payne. The hard-charging Maui surfer is a perfect match for Kai’s energy, and pairing them together makes for a solid edit.
