When Kirra goes off, there ain’t too many waves better on this planet. It is, however, one of the most crowded waves on this planet, so to really get into a good one, you’ve got to be a really good surfer. Australia has its fair share of those, and a whole bunch of them battled it out on April 7, 2021.
Mitch Parkinson, Chris Zaffis, Nick Vasicek, Soli Bailey, and Brent Dorrington were just a few of the surfers who got waves they likely won’t forget for a long time — even though they’re usually at the top of the pecking order when Kirra looks like this anyway.
