Koa Rothman Shows What It’s Like Behind the Scenes at the Da Hui Backdoor Shootout

Of all the events in surfing, the Da Hui Backdoor Shootout is one of the greatest. It features all the best Pipe surfers on the best days possible, and it feels little less about winning and a little more about scoring really, really good waves. Koa Rothman took his camera to day two of the event and it’s an interesting look at what goes on behind the scenes. It’s also an interesting look at some stupidly good surfing.
