Koa Smith has a real way with Skeleton Bay. Remember his ridiculous Octotube back in 2018? It’s a tough place to get dialed, but Koa’s got it just about as dialed as one can get it. He’s no Average Joe, of course, and he makes it look far easier than it really is, but his comfort at what is, perhaps, one of the hardest waves in the world to surf is pretty incredible. It’s been pumping in Namibia over the last little while, and Koa was there on August 12th along with a handful of other tube hounds, like Nate Florence and Benji Brand. The video above is yet another example of just how much fun we could all be having if 1: we could surf like a pro, and 2: we could make the insane trek out to Skeleton Bay. Maybe by next year, right?
