I organize the Kona Surf Film Festival that just celebrated its eighth installment in early December. It was held at the Mauna Lani Bay Hotel and Bungalows on the Big Island, and it pretty much went off. It was way bigger than last year – more people, more movies, more music, and tons of art. We raised a couple thousand bucks for the Seathos Foundation, gave away a bunch of gear, skateboards, surfboards, and various schwag, and just had a good time. I’ll spare you the long winded recap and just kinda rattle off some commentary on the photos, although I must apologize first – we were so slammed with organizing the event and having fun that it might be a bit blurry!
